Okay…..this is one of the most asked questions I get – “But I have nothing to wear. What do I wear?”

And the truth is, you don’t need to go out and spend heaps on a new wardrobe (but hey….if that’s your jam and you have the money to so, who am I to stop you!).

Doing a photo shoot, there is a LOT of anxiety and nerves over, and your wardrobe is only one of the things that make a person hyperventilate. So this is why I recommend to my clients to go out and HIRE a dress. Yes, you heard me. Hire. For two reason mainly….

• It is the least expensive option – why buy a dress for over $400 when you can hire it for $60-$100 or less! It’s just so simple.
• You don’t have to use special products or hand wash to clean – when you hire a dress, you just take it back when you’re done, because the fee usually includes dry-cleaning (always check with the business).

Here in Rockhampton, there is a brilliant and wonderful lady that has a business to hire out all sorts of gowns for all different occasions at such reasonable costs.

And when we did the SpiritedLens shoot (see video below) out at Carnarvon Gorge, all the ladies (but one, who specifically wanted to reuse her wedding gown for the shoot), went to business, found their ideal dress that they wanted to be photographed in for that session, and they hired them from her.
